Invincible Summer: Returning to Life After Someone You Love Has Died—The Video
Invincible Summer is an example of the pioneering work of James E. Miller in comparing the progress of grief to the seasons of the year. This analogy also emphasizes the naturalness of grief and its gradual evolution over time as the bereaved person moves through the healing process. The title comes from a piece of wisdom by the French writer, Albert Camus: “I found there was at last within myself an invincible summer.” Following a death and after going all the way through grief—through all the seasons of grief—the summer of life does eventually return. Jim’s photography melds with his script to create an honest, informative, comforting look at the way most people normally heal as they grieve. It's 17 minutes long. Available both as a DVD to be shipped and as an MP4 to be immediately downloaded. Shipping charge is included in the DVD price in the U.S. only. Out of the country orders must be placed by phone.
